HATCHET OS2 - OFFSEASON CROSSFIT PROGRAM FOR COMPETITORS

WHAT TO EXPECT

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

When you join Misfit athletics for Hatchet OS2, you get five days a week of strength work, conditioning work, skill work and accessory work. Including warmup and cool down protocols. We'll also give you guidance on what you should be doing on your active rest days.

PERSONALIZED WORK

No matter which track you choose, you will be presented with five different options for 7-week long skill progressions. We recommend choosing 1-3 of them and sticking with that skill every week. All athletes will focus on Deadlift, Squat Clean, Snatch, two days a week of back squatting, running, and biking, while the Strength Bias athlete will also add Hang Power Cleans, Strict Press, Power Snatch, "Meathead Lunges", and Bench Press. You can expect classic metcons and intervals that are biased towards intensity over skill, and a heavy dose of running and biking.

VIBRANT COMMUNITY

The beauty of how we structure the program and our content is you never have to feel like you're doing this alone. Both programs will overlap 1 lift and 1 workout for you to compare, celebrate, and commiserate with your fellow misfits in our free Discord community. Add in some time on our podcast and youtube channel and you've got yourself a great program, virtual training partners, and coaches who are all in on helping you succeed.

Unlocking Hatchet OS2: Insights & Answers

Hatchet OS2 is uniquely designed to allow you to focus your training on strength or conditioning, offering you a tailored roadmap to success. With a focus on community and personalized progress, it allows you to work on your specific needs while being part of a supportive environment, setting a foundation for improvement year after year

This program is ideal for CrossFit competitors at all levels—from open athletes to quarterfinals, teens, and masters—who have recently finished their competitive season and are looking to make significant progress in their off-season. It’s for those ready to make honest assessments and commit to hard work.

If you look at your Open and QF scores and see consistency across the more traditional metcons, and much lower finishes in heavier workouts or lifts, the Strength Bias program is best for you.

If you look at your Open and QF scores and are generally unhappy with your ability to let your strength and/or skill shine through when the intensity gets high, the Conditioning Bias program is for you.

While Hatchet OS2 encourages athletes to commit to a track based on their assessment, flexibility is key to progress. We recommend discussing any desired switch with a coach to ensure it aligns with your overall goals and doesn’t disrupt your progress.

All Misfit Athletics programs will be delivered on our platform partner Fitr. Fitr will allow you to track and share scores in an easy and intuitive environment.
